The Inevitable Decay.

Corrinne May's albums are fantastic. Think she is my favourite artiste right now. The 40 bucks i've spent on them were well worth it. Can't stop listening!

Anyway.

In a week or so there'll be people entering uni. Not us, but our female contemporaries(ok I'm sorry if I sound like i'm talking to guys only but just bear with me) will enter a new phase of their lives. That was a wake up call, realizing that it's this fast really. We're stuck in the pits of hell, which quicksand and manacles binding us to our damn nation. It's not the first time i caught myself thinking that main reason we're enduring this temporal stasis, if not regression, is precisely so that our friends can enjoy university while we languish. Bitter irony, but i guess it makes me feel better. At least this nation we're serving isn't faceless.

I just wish people would shut their mouths when they laugh at NSFs. It's no joke when u get kicked in the face by people like a certain Philip Yeo. Then again I guess the cosmic joke is on us so carry on laughing? Enjoy your high society hijinks and noon day drinks and golden taps, but it sure pisses me off that the reason we're getting paid peanuts is that so much money is being funneled into facades of grandeur that our government maintains. The monuments are all over the place...just look at the trends in government building architecture.

Ah well the disjunction will continue I guess. While i enjoy all the reunions it just feels like we've lost something sometimes. At least thats the case for some groups. 4O will endure forever. But everything else starts to crumble and cobwebs start to form. Old gods will die, and their idols will be relics to be gawked at in museums in a few decades or so.

At least I'm 7 months through the impasse now. Another what...17 months to go?
