Devolution
Hey guys and girls,
Went to watch the 6 of them rock climb today. Didn’t climb. And left early. Cos I was getting very bored just sitting there watching people do stuff… So I took an MRT to nowhere and got off at Tiong Bahru, then promptly turned back and went to Eunos. Then I took 13 to Marine Parade Library and lo and behold there was a nest of muggers. So I joined them for a little while and after that I went to look for some books on Ethics for PW. Tiring thing…
Well went to Parkway to window shop after that. Like some girl huh… Think my sister must be rubbing her habits off me. Always bringing me out to shop. Grr. Luckily, my better sense took hold of me and I spent nothing. At all. I just went in, enjoyed the aircon and got out. Now I know I’m mutating into some male tai-tai. ARGHHHHH help!
Yeah that’s it for my “life” today. Let’s go find some topic to comment on, shall we?
Ah, trust Jik to always provide a topic.
Homosexuality has always been a taboo topic. The government obviously doesn’t want us to talk about it, cos they completely omitted it from any statement they make. They’ve obliterated it from our school education system( yes, Jik, I’ve blasted it for you) in the hopes of? My guess would be that they don’t want to approach it cos if they were to outlaw it, ppl would protest and say that they’re too conservative. And if they encouraged it, then ppl would say they’re too liberal and decadent. It’s amusing in a twisted way. No matter what anyone says, someone else will always oppose it. Some people will just oppose things because they have nothing to do, for the sake of opposing something they’ll just start flame-wars. How very contrary they are, and when u say they’re contrary they’ll of course contradict you. Haha it’s so funny how people work.
And while we’re battling for and against gay rights and gay weddings, the gays will just keep quiet and live life as they are, completely disengaging themselves from the stupid endless debate. After all, it wasn’t long ago since women got their rights, so why would gays get theirs so soon right? It took women some 1900 years. So why should gays be any different? Yeah, right. Well, sorry my friends, frankly I don’t think they give a damn what we say and they’ll happily ignore the government no matter what. They can’t help it so why should they let a few laws get in the way?
I agree totally. It’s their own sexual orientation. Asking them to stop it is like asking men and women to stop falling in love and to ask bacteria to stop multiplying. They can’t help it so why force them to conform to society’s norms of heterosexual relationships? I think we should just keep our noses out of it and let them stay as they are. Instead of arresting ppl for things like… Sodomy??? Please. I don’t care what goes on in someone else’s bedroom and why should the government? Should we let the state police our sexuality? Where’s the privacy in that? Where’s the democracy? Who decided that sodomy is wrong? Who decided that homosexuality is wrong? Some old fuddy duddy infertile doddering old dotard sitting there and signing some laws for “the greater good”? Please.
Ok, since we’re bashing authority…let’s bring on round 2! Suicide! The government owns your life! So if you commit suicide they can charge you! And handcuff your still-warm corpse… THEN put it in a body bag. And heaven forbid that you should survive jumping 12 storeys… or you’ll be charged for committing a crime! Woohoo! Oh wait. I just realized something. I said heaven forbid… hmm… maybe some higher power just wants you to suffer more…They decide everything for you. And the funny thing is, just a century ago no one even cared. Those who did were promptly executed, sent to the gulag, exiled etc etc. Perhaps I should count my blessings that I’m not living in pre 20th century or I’d probably be counting trees in Siberia now.
All this reminds me of Animal Farm and 1984, actually. Now I begin to see why George Orwell hated communism to the bone. I’m living in a pseudo-democracy and I already hate the government.
Ah well. Hatred begets more hatred. Hatred outlives the hateful. (got that from a magic card, Rancor). That’s why we’ll always hate the government. And it’ll outlive us. Then when we’re actually part of the government we’ll hate the ppl who are not part of the government like the xenophobic miscreants we are.
You’re the soft touch of the waves on the shore...

Irony.
Hey guys and girls,
Well, its an irony of course. It's the holidays again but I don't feel its any different. I'm still going to have to mug. I'm still going to have to go back to school. I still have to answer to the same people in the same place in the same world. So what's changed? Actually I feel even more confined now it's the holidays. I can't go out and I have a schedule of my own to keep to now. And i'm afraid I'll slack off so there's even more pressure. At least homework can be copied.
Anyways, my legs feel terrible. That fall on friday took more out of me than I thought. Damn I may not actually be able to go on Wednesday. Curse my foul luck.
You're the pale light of the morning....
