Saturday...
Today's SATs diagnostic went relatively well...The paper was easy... but I made one mistake I tink.... instead of empathic disapproval I put personal abhorrence....
Well that answer's open to intrepretation anyway. =) The two guys administering the test were quite cool.... The black guy had this comment...
Q: Why do you tink the experimental section was taken out?
A: Because we care.
Somehow I'm kinda sad we dont have many lecturers anywhere this interesting. So far the good ones are Jerry Chai, Ronnie Quek, and... oh wait I cant think of any...sorry guys...
Anyways, since there was no one around today..(I realized I have very few friends in S6), I almost decided to go home straight after school. Then I remembered Weili came to school today. Ah-hah. So we ended up going to coro for lunch. So we make the usual toss up between Cosy, Prince and Tenderfresh...(Oh wait its Golden Rooster now...) Sick of smelling like rancid chicken oil, we decided to go to Cosy for a change. But first, being the avid Magic fan that I am, I stop by Magehaven to have a look. No Kiat. Ask auntie for the file. Weili flees, after taking a whiff of the rancid oil smell...I wonder how the auntie can take it man... It gets on your skin, your clothes, your bag, in your nose... Yuck...Take a quick look, then flee. Discretion is the better part of valor.
When we get out, we suddenly discover that Cosy corner, once empty, is now bursting at the seams with people...Sigh... They should have more than 6 tables man...the way their business is going... Anyway it turns out to be a day of coincidences. First we see Candice and her friends, then Jenson and his classmates, then Yunfei and his classmate, then Andre appears out of the shop with Junrong and Zhi Peng in tow. We didnt even notice them. Small world... Either that or everyone is sick of smelling of oily chicken. Jenson has his track competition at Choa Chu Kang...I hate the place...Its too small and remote for any decent amount of supporters to go. Sigh. Anyway he intended to have chocolate. Or bananas. So I told him why not have both at the same time. He gives me a funny look and tells me to recall what Alec was selling for CNY. Whoops. I decided that he was right and gave up on the idea. We did some discussion for the as-yet-unconfirmed TNS gathering during the holidays... If you were from TNS and you are reading this...COME FOR IT. Yeah. =)
Anyway decided to have soba today. Was disappointed by the poor soba that they conjured up. Ended up stuffing it down with wasabi. 5 bucks down the drain... Slacked around a bit. Then remember about Econs and Maths tests. Decided to go home. Then Jenson cheerfully reminds me Mother's Day is tommorow. Horror of horrors! I totally forgot. Then I remember my sisters' birthdays are both next week. Weili and me rush down to Taka to get something. I'm bankrupt now....
Went for a run around the Goodman road area today. Went as far as Old Airport Rd. And it was drizzling too. Felt good to work out... And the scenery changes, unlike in HC. Not that I'm complaining about the place...TCHS track is very beautiful at sunrise and sunset... Used to just sit on the terraces and watch the sky.... Remember the green marble table, the "Tian Xia Zhi (he) Ma" and the Tan Kah Kee statue. And the trees. And the tower....Ah sweet memories...
I remembered some other miscellaneous stuff today. I saw an ironing board and thought. Hmm that looks like Gwee in her "ironing board" blouse. I remember the Scorpion KO. The World Cup. The endless times we bullied Laurang. The times we had to wear the stupid dorky tie to assembly. The times when Steven Koh goes on about his giraffe and cow story. And his "the sky is so large, aeroplanes still crash, and the sea is so big, but ships still crash"(still have no idea what he was talking about). And the "Hua Zhong shao yi ge ren shi bu hui guan bi de". How true. Oh and I remember the old guard. The 3 old men..Tooh, Lee and Lim.
Thats an awful lot of memories...I realized that we guys have gone through so much together, we're not just friends...We're brothers.
And to those who knew each other even before we entered Hua Zhong... we're not just brothers...we're one spirit in many bodies....
Oh and lastly, I would like to apologize...I saw you today but didnt say hi. Just lost in rememberance.
You're still my Sun and Stars...

Today's Friday.
The end of the week? Or is it.
Tommorow is SATS diagnostic. Sigh. Have to trudge back to school to do a 3 hour test. What is the world coming to? Thats 5 hours off my Saturday Mugging session. Darn It. Cant stand it man...Just when I feel like working, they force me to go back to do some crap diagnostic test.
At least it wont be seriously taxing on my brains. Or the smoldering remains of it.
Speaking of which, some funny stuff happened today.
Physics lecture was about going through our Physics lecture test. They started off with this weird lecturer. He was quite interesting. Took two basketballs to the Podium and started throwing them around and explaining about lifts and gravity and all that. Problem is he threw them...a little...too high... For a second I thought we was gonna take someone out, but Justin retrieved the ball in time.... =P
Then when Mr Quek came up, it was equally funny....He asked us if we Missed Mr Wong.... ah =) Hilarious man..
Oh and I got full marks for GP again..Whoopee..And i didnt even need to study...
Wish I could say that for Econs and Maths... But alas I'll have to mug my way through the weekend..
Time to work.

Hey everyone =)
Someone told me this is getting quite boring, so I'll make it a bit more interesting.
The Bookfair.
I got my book yesterday. Whoops big mistake... more books came out today... Unfortunately, few books are worth anyone's while in the selection they have... It's puny. I see some dumb stuff like Tom Clancy going around. And there's even books about making sushi and growing vegetables. Groan. They suck. Picture books, mostly... Something you read at 12..... Though I must admit, they were interesting for a little while. And there's even stuff like "How to banish those thighs forever" and "Supermodel secrets". You'd be surprised who reads this kinda stuff. People who are fat dont give a damn or are too embarassed to read them. People who are thin as french fries pore over them like treasure. What's the point of becoming so thin anyway? (You know who you are....)
And people get dumb when they spend 10/15 bucks on bookmarks. Thats 30 bookmarks my friends. I personally dont read 30 books at once...
The Traitor... Turncoat...Fiend...
Mak you traitor! How dare you switch sides!! You know how many ppl u upset? How many broken hearts you left in your wake of destruction???? You fool! You left both ur girlfriend and boyfriend in the lurch. You collect a harem as big as my ass and....
Now you go to start a new harem?
You've signed your own death sentence pal...I'll never see you again...
Hope you get stuck in the same PW group as U-know-who...
On the other hand, i both understand and pity you. So I guess I wish you best of luck.
The Triumvirate.
Why the heck does everyone have good tutors? I've got the Triumvirate, made up of hardcore nutcase mental paraplegics. Ok thats a little harsh, but no one can deny taht they're quite... lousy. Not lousy... actually.... more like terrible...catastrophic...disastrous....cataclysmic...hopeless.. Yeah adjectives like that come to mind.
Chen- The Screamer. Or if u prefer, Havoc Demon. No its not cos she's got horns. Its cos she's the least of the great evils. And she screeches like a banshee sometimes. She could almost break glass. And nags and nags and nags so that you can never miss her voice. And she's got this round face that screams "hit me" sometimes... OH yeah and she has 3 periods with our class on Fridays... reduces me to tears.
Chong- Visara the Dreadful. The name says it all. She's evil. She's ugly. She flies. She turns sideways to destroy ppl. And her eyes are her strongest features. Not an econs lecture has gone by without her giving the legendary killer stare. She pauses every 2 minutes or so to glare at ppl who have somehow slighted her. U dont mess with "Your momma" man... And she picks on Andrew every lecture... Fatal attraction? Hahahah. Hint. She never catches you when ur right in front staring into her eyes. Cos she's long sighted or something. U are 20 times more likely to be destroyed if u sit in the back row. Take a lesson from Jik. He dozes off right in front of her and never gets caught. Stealth generator? No she's just blind.
Ooi- Diablo. Old Hag. The Spirit of the Night. The Scion of Darkness. The Bane of the Living. The Profound Darkness. She's evil incarnate. She's 50 and single. Somehow I dont see her getting married anytime soon. Or ever. She's sour and wrinkled as a prune. No make that 2 prunes. She's ugly and stupid and has an attitude problem. And she stinks. She brings a marker to class that reeks of effluvium. Stinky marker, stinky teacher. And perhaps thats why her nose is always high in the air... The air's so foul even she cant breathe it. It doesnt help that she berates us every single tutorial and tells us we're gonna fail our promos. Bah.. Doomsday prophet...And when she smiles....It's like winter come early...I swear it can snow in Singapore...
I remember back in 4O, we had the council of evil. There was BlackJik, Magnehou, Pervert, XuanBoo Radley and.. I forgot. Damn. And we would use our evil powers to destroy Laurang. Ah the good times.
I still have the power... As i discovered recently.
Was having dinner at BK cine with Lec Jik and Mak. Boy, some ppl made the mistake of even being in queue at the same time... It proves that no matter what you do... The Zer powers will still confound you...And destroy you... Nuclear Launch. Alec had burnt beef mushroom swiss 1 1/2. It was so thin I swore they ripped him off. And Jik got his food after I did. I went to queue 5 mins after he did. Tough luck pal...I cant release the powers so often anymore...so when they do manifest themselves, its armageddon.
Stupid Mak. It's all your fault.... We leave cine only to find that a storm has just started to assail our heads. We quickly flee into shelter and promptly hear "Zhi shao wo bi ni zou de zao". What the heck. Then we had to walk in the rain to get to the MRT station. You fool. Moron. I won't even comment on your sexual orientations anymore =).
Oh and Andre... that cow is hilarious... =)

Something really bad happened today...
My dog died....
Or rather, my uncle's dog died. Though he was technically his dog, he was everyone's pet... and i watched him grow up...
I saw him often, and I missed him when I didnt.
He was my friend.
Brighter Day-(In loving memory of Freedom)
It was yesterday,
That you were running,
Through the fields,
Losing yourself in joy and bliss,
Basking in the sunshine,
Living for the moment,
Yet knowing that tommorow will be a brighter day.
It was last night,
That you were walking,
Through the trees,
Losing yourself in warmth and love,
Sipping wine from a glass,
Living for the moment,
Yet knowing tommorow will be a brighter day.
It was just a while ago,
That you were sprawled,
Over the pavement,
Losing yourself in peace and serenity,
A soft brush on your ears,
Living for the moment,
Yet knowing tommorow will be a brighter day.
But it's now.
That you are sleeping,
In the cradle of the earth,
Lost in weariness and fatigue,
A gentle tear on your cheek,
Living the last moment,
Yet knowing tommorow will be a brighter day.
Goodbye, old friend,
Tommorow will be a brighter day...
Life is fragile.
Treasure every moment, for you don't know which will be your last. Enjoy the sweet air you're breathing, for you don't know when you will draw your last breath.
Love your friends, for they might be gone tommorow, or you might be gone tommorow. Who knows?
Love,
Chi.

Hello again.
It's the first day which I missed an update.
It kinda feels like my diary all over again. I wrote in it every day for 2 months.
Then it was every week.
Now its every time I feel something significant happened. Or something I need to get off my chest pops up.
Hmm two events happened today that I should mention.
First. I cut my hair. Its a funky new hairdo. That can be punk or innocent. Depends on the gel content.
Second. I crashed into the swimming pool ladder. All my fault. I thought.. "Lets do a quick 20 before we watch X Men." And i berserk-swam the last 5. Whoops. Got a major bump on my head.Ouch.....
Life is treating me better nowadays... I feel happier than I've been in a week. And I guess its you guys that pulled me through.
Thanks, especially to you Mike... You're always there when I needed to talk to someone...
Sometimes life deals you a cruel hand. As Jik said, well sometimes u get 4 point hands in bridge. Life is unpredictable and sometimes u get the short straw. But as long as there are people who are behind you, I guess its ok...
I guess sometimes its easy to forget stuff... sometimes its not so easy... I've had many unforgettable experiences in life. Most of them are good. Some of them are not. But I've come to realize something. Good experiences are always filled with fond memories of my friends, and people I care for. And bad experiences are always filled with loneliness. It was after this revelation that I began to see that when life is bad, I still have people I can count on. I can turn bad times into good times. It just takes time.
Of course, that's not to say I'll always be happy. Even I am not that idealistic anymore. I'll still be depressed sometimes. And perhaps thats for the best. Pain helps you feel that you exist, that you are alive. Pain brings you to reality and gives you inspiration. Above all, pain helps you learn, and appreciate others' pain.
In honour of this, I'll post another of my writings.
White Light.
The Night.
The land is shrouded in shadow,
And life lies still in slumber.
We cower beneath our sheets,
Fearing the deep unknown,
That which our eyes dread to see.
Yet to see with our eyes is not true sight,
And with our faith should we dream.
Comfort reaches out to those who seek,
And surrender to the white light of the moon.
The silver strands of shimmering hope,
Serenade us as we await the morningtide.
The Storm.
The land is overcast in darkness,
And life lies still in waiting.
We look out the windows,
Resenting the driving rain.
That which our skin dreads to feel.
Yet to feel with our skin is not true touch.
And with our mind should we reach.
Shelter reaches out to those who seek,
And touch the white light peeking through the clouds.
The bright shaft of shining hope,
Reassures us as we await the clear sky.
The Winter.
The land is covered in white,
And life lies still in torpor.
We drape ourselves in blankets,
Smothering ourselves from winter’s chill touch,
That which our lungs fear to touch.
Yet to breathe with our lungs is not true breath.
And with our spirit should we subsist.
Warmth reaches out to those who seek,
And love the white light reflecting on the white snow,
The aura of shimmering hope,
Warms us as we await Spring’s first touch.
The Nightmare.
The mind is covered in darkness.
And life cringes in despair.
We shield ourselves with our hands,
Hating the insidious memories and fears,
That which our mind fears to reconcile.
Yet to hope with our fear is not true hope,
And with our souls should we find salvation.
Love reaches out to those who seek,
And embrace the white light flaring like a single torch in the mind’s night.
The white conflagration of burning hope,
Sustains us as we await future bliss.
And so I seek my white light. And I believe I've found her. Or him. Or it. All 3 are linked, yet distinct.
To her... I love you.
To him...I thank you.
To it... I will never lose you.
