Ah ok.

This entry finds me in a state of stress induced boredom. Yep, it sounds oxymoronic but all the work is making me really stressed and I feel that life is somehow getting blander. Oh it should get interesting when I get back my results =(.

Yesterday was HC open house. Quite nice la... thought the banner was especially good. You know the “Zenith: Beyond what you can see” one. Thought it was much better than last year’s open house. Yeahp. Even though RJ was kinda old and crumbling at the time the tour guides were better. Think we got Dalglish last year. Yep. So anyway came to school early to collect the stupid GP marks sheet. Apparently if I didn’t hand it in for everyone before 11 they’ll be condemned to fiery hell for eternity. Nah they won’t. They’ll just not be able to be promoted, which pretty much amounts to the same thing actually. Then went to help set up the entrep booth. Thought it was quite nice la… and we actually got quite a few people to sign up for the December seminars.. which I thought was a little surprising cos most ppl don’t even know if they’re posted and besides.. when you think of joining a CCA in advance Entrep isn’t it. Ah well hope some of my juniors join… haven’t seen them for some time already… missing them a little. Then I reported for my tour guide duty. I stand by my decision. Being a tour guide was quite fun! And u get CIP hours. How cool is that? Yep. Brought Jac and Chell around. Then some SC girls then some Bukit Panjang girls then some NY. Can’t remember the last group. Quite nice and polite people. Hope to get people like that for juniors next year.

Hmm I realized that the no.1 qn they asked was abt the toilets. Yes. Not our spanking new auditorium. Not our wonderful library. Not our communist culture. Our toilets. Like I’d know what a girl’s toilet looks like inside anyway. =P. Yep think they were quite impressed. And the best part is some of them didn’t have the RJ goodie bag. Score to HC. Anyway it was quite slack after 4, cos most of the ppl went home liao. Right.

Went with Weili to have dinner at PS Swensen’s under Jik’s recommendation. We got crap for our lucky dip. Weili got 55c drink and soup and I got 55c drink. Hell we didn’t even order drinks… decided to have an ice cream each and leave. He had a banana split and I had some triple scoop triple topping sundae. And mine cost less. Yep sugar overload… had to dilute everything with water cos I was choking. Anyways he showed me his excellent logo design and theme for 30th anniversary. If you guys remember pls ask him to show u it’s damn funny. Then we went to Carrefour for our daily sodium intake… the food there is surprisingly good. And cheap, which is even more important, considering we just blew a small fortune on ice cream. =). And have to start saving.. lots of ppl having birthday soon.

Have you ever felt completely helpless? Like you couldnt do anything for your friend even when he's going through a very painful phase of his life? Sigh..... just hope he gets over it... and hopefully retains some of his compassion and humanity... i've done what i can but it's not enough. it's not enough.... just hope mik can do something.

Debilitation

Right I’m actually quite free tonight so I’ll indulge in a little blogging.

Was really intending to blog the past few days but you see there are a few glitches in the plan. Yes. Called “FOS”, “sheer lethargy”, “PW and “Open house. Anyways as I write my eyelids are drooping over my pupils(I can actually see my lashes!) so I better makes the best of my time. Oh and got to memorize my open house stuff too.

In a strange twist of irony, I’m actually busier and more tired after promos. Too much stuff on. Particularly the triple cursed PW. Sigh the stupid oral presentation is in a few weeks time and I’ve done squat for that. Therefore I conclude I am screwed.

DG Co seems to have developed a less lame sense of humour nowadays. Excellent. Perhaps the blondes there have done good stuff for him. Either that or it’s because he’s living in a dorm and if he doesn’t watch his lameness he’s going to get his ass kicked. Conveniently, he sleeps on a double bunk, so the person on the bottom doesn’t even have to wake up to kick his ass. That Jacque fella seems like a moron all right. How does DG Co survive man?

Ok for those of you who still didn’t know, HCJC Festival of Sports was held over the past 3 days. Actually it’s supposed to be 2 days. But due to “unforeseen circumstances” like the staff team sending all the opposing teams to be the hospital(no I don’t mean that they were nice.) and random ball smashing, face-elbowing, ass kicking, cursing, swearing and general comments about the dubious ancestry or anal retentiveness of the opposing teams, the final match was brought over to today. I swear man, I must have seen the “wu ling da hui of the century”. Everyone seems to know “no shadow kick” and “dragon surrender palm” and “iron head skill”. Oh and we cannot forget the “whole river red fist”. They should have a separate event for brawling. All vs staff team. I swear man, that Zason Chian is damn bloody violent. And some moron was attempting bear hugs during BASKETBALL. What the heck man.

My class did great overall during the meet. Yay. We won netball and basketball boys. Woohoo. Roxes. Along the way we faced Xuanboo’s class, Jik class, Alec’s class, Yunfei’s class, Andre’s class and some other random opponents. Smash Face. Actually if u read the blogs, you should be able to piece together a picture of how the FOS went.

Right anyways these 2 days I’ve seen a lot of extremes. Amazing how sports give you an insight into the characters of the people playing. Some people are downright “must win at all costs” and “to hell with the game. I need to win.” And others are “Aiyah win or no win what’s the diff can play good liao”. Well sad to say there were plenty of the former and few of the latter. Anyway the events were not without humour.

Gordon and his wonderful “belt”. Ok Gordon is this fat guy. He’s pretty good at bball but there’s one disadvantage. He has large boobs. Yes note I said he’s a guy. So why in heck is this a disadvantage? Cos he couldn’t really wear his identification band(the loop that you slip over you shoulder and neck) round his chest so he put it around his ass instead. Ok no offence but it was pretty amusing.
There was this other one. During netball, Joyce(the humans one) was supposed to be taking scores. The problem is that she’s quite blur. So halfway during the match, she suddenly comes up with this puzzled look and asks a classic question.

“Am I supposed to be keeping score?”

Ok it wasn’t a big thing but it was a little amusing.

Yep loved FOS. Brought the class together, and I had lots of exercise! I’m aching all over (another sign of my dismal physical condition). And I didn’t really know how zai my class was until now! Turns out almost everyone can play sports man. Anyways hope I don’t need to play another year cos that means I’m retained. Yep ok preparing for open house tour tmr. Doing tour guide stuff. Hope to see some chiobus. So goodnite.
