A War in the Family.

I do recall writing a really bad gp essay for my prelims. For some idiotic reason I chose the divorce question and wrote this pathetic essay proclaiming it as a sensible solution, only to hesitate halfway.

You know what. I deserve a fail for that.

Not so much because the essay was a plodding load of drivel, but because I was wrong about the fundamental concept of the divorce. Fuck. There's no such thing as parting amiably. Whatever shit I said was totally asstalk.

I had this strange feeling that the whole thing lacked conviction and now I know why. Because I lacked conviction in it. The whole thing was me telling myself that there could be such a thing as two parents parting amiably, happily remaining friends. That's called denial and something deep inside me knew it too.

I think I'll go up and ask for a fail when school reopens. I'd have thoroughly earned it.
